Casey you and Dan just keep your heads up and God will bless you with a child, He knows you guys have a lot of love to give and there are a lot of kids who are starving for just a little. God knows when the time is right. He will be with you when you go to the doctor and will get you through yet another obstacle. We continue to pray for you and Dan and I know both of you will prevail with God as your leader. We love you both.

Hi, Casey, how did it go? Mine was last Tuesday and it wasn’t pretty. I thought the exact things you did about having to go back in there after everything that had happened. To make it worse, the OB was late b/c she was delivering a baby, and I had to sit in the waiting room with 95 pregnant women and babies for a half hour. By the time I got in the room, I was in tears. Anyway, I hope yours went better and I wanted to tell you thank you for your comment on my blog. I plan to email you with some other thoughts soon- trying to catch up on everything and answer all these wonderful people who write me.
Hope you have a decent day tomorrow. And I hope the adoption meeting goes well. We were planning to adopt when Grant made his presence known. Now that he is gone, we don’t know what to do.
Anyway…love you and praying for you too. Think of you every single day and hoping you are well. Talk to you soon.

Isn’t God awesome! There is no detail too small for Him to care about. He showed His love to you that day through a figurine. So small a gesture of such a BIG love. He loves you, Dan and Asher. I love you and I am praying for you still.

Hi Casey.
I am so glad that you are willing to open your heart and pour out your innermost thoughts to us- a group of friends and strangers who somehow through this blog have grown to love you and sorrow with you and long for heaven so we can see Asher again too!
Your posts and the links you have on the side have really helped me to know how to better come alongside grieving friends and walk with them. I appreciate your honesty.

Oh, Casey. My heart aches for you and Dan. The photographs are beautiful. Think if your family and husband are understanding of your feelings how much more understand our Lord and Savior is. He understands your anger, hurt, and grief like no other can. It’s ok to yell, to cry out in your pain. You WILL be comforted. Keep clinging to that hope.

I pray that the Lord will comfort you. I know it’s so very hard to let go and I know the desire to get past the heartache but not forget. I would like to continue to encourage you and to tell you again that it will get better. The Lord is with you..guiding you through this trial.

God laid it on my heart to say a special prayer for you today as I was driving past Open Door Baptist today (haven’t been over in that direction in months). Praying for comfort and peace as God wraps His loving arms around you as you continue to grieve the loss of your handsome and precious little Asher. Then a few hours later when I got home, I sat down at the piano to pick around a little and read a special Michael Card (my favorite Christian artist) poem called “Lullaby for the Innocents” in the back of his “Sleep Sound in Jesus” piano book and that made me pause and pray for you all once again. Having a miscarriage early in my first pregnancy was hard but I can only imagine how much harder it is for you to have made it through your entire pregnancy and even met your sweet little boy before the Lord called him home. Thanks for continuing to share your thoughts and feelings as you go through the grieving process.
