My sister has 6 kids and currently 2 foster kids living with them. She would be the first to admit that she doesn’t do it all, but that, just like you – her heart is so full. She is blessed, and living the life that God placed in front of her.

Cullen said “Asher” this past week! I was getting on to him and used his full name. Then he copied me, saying “Asher,” and my heart melted! So thankful my C gets to carry his precious name!

SOOO True Casey!! You sound like you have been in my own head!! Such a great, great truth of the gospel…When we are weak then we are strong! You really hit the bullseye on this one!! I think having more kids, far from making me super mom like many people imagine, really makes me super fail mom….but thats the Good News of my life! A huge, pathetic sinner, who never wanted to be married, is now the mother of five children and a happy wife! Miracles happen today as in biblical times and my life and especially my kids are a testament to that.

Casey,
I learned of your story right after Asher’s birth. My sister, Dena, had just started attending Open Door when you had gone into labor. She immediately called us here in California to start praying for your family. She linked us to your blog. I prayed fervently for the Chappell Family. My sister, not knowing you, felt she and her husband could best serve you at Asher’s funeral by working in the nursery. I have followed your blog ever since. I was even able to counsel a young woman in our church, through your blog, who was unmarried and lost her baby at 36 weeks. Amazing healing. Even though we have not been able to support your adoption process financially, please know there are many of us here in California who have praying without ceasing during your adoption process. Praise to Jesus! Your family blesses us all! Your example never ceases to amaze me.

I love your heart…I struggle with many of these same things as we raise support to go into full-time missions. I have had the same “coffee” thought about my friends.

This is beautiful and perfect. I was wringing my hands earlier this week (were this weeks give one same one family) as to why not many were giving, why the same people were giving….I needed God to speak to me and He reminded me that this week for us was less about he money and more about sharing our story. When I looked at it like that I felt blessed that we were able to share our story and somehow the money started to come in too…. Thank you for this sweet reminder as we end our fundraising. It took a lot to get here, but we were able to share A LOT along the way!

I so needed to read this today!!! THANK YOU!!!! As we scrimp and save and fundraise our hearts out for this second international adoption in 2 years… I can get discouraged. Thank you for reminding me that God has it all under control. His will… His timing… His funding. :)
